Maya Angelou is quoted as saying, Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.
That concept – doing better – resonates deeply with me. It’s hardly surprising: according to my 16 Personalities profile, I’m typed as a Constant Improver.
When it comes to doing better, I learned some things along the way. Doing better is neither simple nor easy. It is not quick. The path is rarely straight and moving along that path, despite all good intentions, is not always in a forward direction. And here’s something else:

Great read! Very interesting article. I liked the quote from Brene Brown, "lean into the discomfort". I can relate to that - when you're not used to speaking positively/expressing gratitude, it can feel awkward. Sometimes you really have to push yourself to do it. Still learning but I do find that little by little, it gets easier. Thanks Sharon
Brilliant! Loved the bit at the end “Be patient, but don’t give up” I’m applying that to my weight loss journey. I was pretty un healthy, but like you advised, rather than think “oh there’s no point why bother” I’ve taken things slow and realised that I deserve to make better, healthier choices for myself. In the process during the last 6 months I’ve lost over 2 stone (13 kg) and am feeling so much better for it. So yes, another great read! Thanks Sharon!
